The Antinori family, the oldest family winery in Italy, has been involved in the wine business for 27 generations or almost 640 years. Since 1385, they have been linked to Tuscany and Florence for 800 years. Marchese Piero Antinori, known for his motto "Good wine needs an idea and a lot of passion," has been instrumental in the last decades, influencing numerous wine projects that have transformed Italy's wine world. The family has also been successful internationally, with joint ventures in Napa Valley, Washington State, Chile, Malta, Hungary, and Romania. They have also been successful in gastronomy in Florence, Zurich, Vienna, Moscow, and Singapore, exporting Tuscan delights. The family's new headquarters, located in Bargino, are a showcase project designed by Florentine architect Laura Andreini. Marchese Piero Antinori retired from everyday business in 2017 and is now the Honorary President of Marchesi Antinori Srl.
