Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia

Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, founded in 1981 by Lodovico Antinori, is a leading Italian winery that produces a variety of wines. The estate, located on the Maremma coast in Bolgheri, is known for its Super Tuscan producers and runs a Michelin star restaurant, Ristorante Ornellaia. In 2012, the winery changed its name to "Ornellaia e Masseto" to emphasize the importance of Merlot-based wine. The estate also owns the iconic Tuscan neighboring property Masseto, Italy's top Merlot. In 2001, Lodovico Antinori sold the property to US winemaker Robert Mondavi, who then sold a 50% share to Frescobaldi in 2002. In 2005, Frescobaldi took complete control of Ornellaia.
